Recent Projects

  • Working with multiple OEMs to develop map requirements for ADAS and automation.
  • Working with a tier 1 supplier on Functional Safety of data based systems.
  • Evaluated the automotive market for camera systems to support an institutional investor.
  • Contributed to AASHTO’s “Footprint” report for deployment of infrastructure to vehicle short range communications.
  • Technical support for a tier 1 location enabling a new product.

Specialties

  • Mapping– I have worked with Nokia/HERE and TomTom extensively on navigation and ADAS map products.
  • Positioning– GPS/GNSS based positioning techniques and error assessment.
  • Communications– I have worked extensively on the development of 5.9 GHz DSRC, and have experience with many other carriers.
  • Map based ADAS– I am one of first practitioners in this field, and continue to this day.
  • Technology assessment– I have a long track record of engaging important technologies early and bringing them into th eautomotive ecosystem.
